This Caribbean festivals 2027 calendar runs from Trinidad Carnival on February 8 and 9 to Crop Over’s Grand Kadooment on Monday, August 2, with Jamaica, Antigua, Grenada, and other islands filling the months between. It lists the dates we have, tells you which ones are firm and which follow each festival’s usual pattern, and shows how to plan a trip around the one you want.
We’re Caribbean Island Festivals, a boutique travel concierge company that books group trips to Caribbean festivals, so we keep a close eye on these dates. Our group trip to Barbados Crop Over 2027 is open now, and you can book it here.

Winter Caribbean Festivals 2027: January Through March
Trinidad and Tobago Carnival (February 8 and 9) is the one many travelers picture when they think of Caribbean carnival: soca music, J’ouvert at dawn, and the Parade of the Bands on Monday and Tuesday before Ash Wednesday. Book early. Hotels in Port of Spain fill months ahead.
Dominica’s Mas Domnik runs from January 9 to February 10 and builds to Carnival Monday and Tuesday. Martinique and Guadeloupe peak in the days before Ash Wednesday, February 10, and Aruba and Curaçao hold their carnivals in January and February.
Jamaica Carnival (March 31 to April 6) lands in Easter week, so flights and rooms in Kingston get tight around the road march on Sunday, April 4.
Spring: April and May
St. Maarten Carnival takes place in April and May. Batabano in the Cayman Islands usually happens in early May. If you want costumes and a road parade without the biggest crowds, this is a good window, and our guide to Crop Over and CayMas costumes explains what to expect.
Summer Caribbean Festivals 2027: June Through August
Summer is peak festival season. St. Lucia Carnival runs June to July, Antigua Carnival from July 20 to August 3, and Barbados Crop Over builds to Grand Kadooment on Monday, August 2, 2027. Grenada’s Spicemas follows on August 9 and 10, about a week after Kadooment.
Because Kadooment and Spicemas are a week apart, some travelers plan both in one trip. Check flights between the islands before you commit. For the full Barbados schedule and how booking works, read our Crop Over 2027 dates and booking guide.
Why we plan around on-island support: our founder, Olivia Barr, booked her first Crop Over in 2022 through another company that had no one on the island, and she ended up solving problems for the whole group. You can read her story here. It’s why our Crop Over trips include concierge support on the island.
Fall and Holiday Season
Belize holds its carnival in September, and Sugar Mas in St. Kitts and Nevis runs from December into January. Junkanoo in the Bahamas happens on January 1.
How to Choose a Caribbean Festival
- Pick your season first. Winter means Trinidad. Summer means Barbados, Antigua, and Grenada.
- Decide how much costume and parade you want. Some trips are about joining a band on the road; others are about fetes and food.
- Book the hard parts early. Costumes are made to order and popular bands close registration early. Rooms near the main events fill first.
- Think about your group. A group trip with shared transfers and a concierge makes a big festival much easier to manage.
